SUMMARY:Investigating the Impact of Hazard Management Training on Young No
 vice Drivers’ Speed Management Skills and Vice Versa: A Driving Simulator 
 Study

 M) and Speed Management (SM) skills has been identified as a leading facto
 r in young novice drivers’ road crash involvement. Despite the success of 
 individual training programmes targeting these two skills, their generaliz
 ability to one another remains unclear. Hence, the aim of the present rese
 arch was to address this limitation. Ninety young novice drivers were rand
 omly divided into five different training groups, and following training, 
 their HM and SM skills were assessed on two different occasions in a fixed
 -based driving simulator. The result revealed that HM and SM training impr
 oved their targeted skill; however, no generalization of\ntraining was evi
 dent. These findings emphasise the need for a new training technique that 
 could improve these two critical road safety skills among young novice dri
