SUMMARY:Design Considerations for Procedures and Checklist Across Multiple
  Domains: A Scoping Review

 es and checklists are essential elements of operational safety in various 
 work domains. Multiple studies have identified the need for a standardized
  design methodology for domain-specific procedures and checklists due to i
 nconsistent approaches. Consequently, there is an increasing need for wide
 ly accepted general methodology and guidelines. The purpose of this review
  is to summarize and synthesize the literature that has examined design co
 nsiderations for procedures and checklists across multiple domains. As par
 t of this review, two groups of findings were identified: definitions and 
 key dimensions. First, definitions of procedure and checklist were summari
 zed and critically evaluated in terms of five factors (purpose, format, ut
 ility, work environment, and expected outcome). Second, based on analyses 
 of the literature, three key dimensions related to the procedure and check
 list design were identified: the information, medium, and ecosystems dimen
 sions. For each dimension, directions for future research efforts to impro
 ve the procedure and checklist design are proposed.\n\nTrack: Student Foru
