 es require consideration of human interaction, movement, and performance t
 hroughout the process. Traditional assessment methods for evaluating amuse
 ment rides (i.e., rollercoasters) involve a singular sensor measuring acce
 lerations, aiming to evaluate the rider's instantaneous and sustained acce
 lerations (g) as indicators for patron safety. In this case study, the aut
 hors demonstrate the potential of using IMU-based motion capture technique
 s to collect not only acceleration data but also joint, body segment posit
 ions, and global positions. These measurements, combined with other 3-D mo
 deling techniques, provide comprehensive information that can be used to a
 ssess patron or operation interactions with amusement rides and devices at
