  (Eli Lilly); and Courtney Roberts (Bold Insight)\n\nRecent data collected
  from an in-home contextual-inquiry actual-use study provided insight into
  sound levels in representative home settings during use of injection devi
 ces. These data are interpreted alongside other published sources that cha
 racterize sound levels in home settings to tell a comprehensive story of r
 ealistic and representative sound level ranges that can be utilized when d
 eveloping design input requirements. \nDuring this case study discussion, 
 the presenter will explain how in-home ambient noise level data were appli
 ed to an injection device development project for aging patients and their
  care partners. With careful consideration of the unique needs of these us
 er populations, real-world data was a key input into designing system requ
 irements for audible feedback produced by the injection device. The case s
 tudy will summarize formative human factors data to illustrate how the tea
 m determined audible feedback was a risk control measure they were interes
 ted in pursuing, questions about sound characteristics the team debated du
 ring the effort to craft appropriate system requirements, and how the team
  ultimately arrived at the audible feedback design input requirements. \nT
