SUMMARY:Satisfaction of Automated Video Interviews Compared to Other Quest
 ionnaires for Depression Assessment
DESCRIPTION:Rezvan Yousefi, Carlo Maley, and Erin Chiou (Arizona State Uni
versity)\n\nThis study aims to evaluate the impact of video synchronizing
interviews on patients’ satisfaction using automated systems compared to c
linical questionnaires and a Storyline questionnaire provided by Storyline
Health, a digital platform that allows patients to track symptoms, manage
health data, and participate in research studies. Since depression is one
of the most common and misdiagnosed mental disorders, there is a clinical
need for the diagnosis to be accurate to provide appropriate treatment fo
r patients. Data were collected from 322 participants with depression thro
ugh the Storyline AI platform and Prolific. The findings indicated signifi
cant differences between the Storyline questionnaire, the Storyline video
interview questionnaire, and the clinical questionnaire. The Storyline que
stionnaire had greater satisfaction ratings than the Storyline video-based
interview or the clinical questionnaire. These findings indicate that the
data collection method has a significant effect on the satisfaction of de
pressed patients. While our findings indicate that higher levels of satisf
action may improve trust in automated systems, direct measurement of trust
was beyond the scope of this study. Future studies should clearly assess
trust to enhance these findings. Additionally, future research should comp
are trust levels across different questionnaire formats and investigate wh
ether trust influences adherence to automated mental health evaluations.\n
