 ht, the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) human factors te
 am developed a new digital tool that helps technical reviewers quickly loc
 ate relevant case studies when evaluating proposed power reactor licensing
  amendments. Using user-centered design principles, the team created an in
 teractive case-study repository to improve the speed and consistency of “p
 recedence reviews,” which identify past licensing decisions that relate to
  current applications. Built with reviewer input and refined through multi
 ple development cycles, the tool was designed to be intuitive and practica
 l—saving reviewers significant time and effort. Early feedback has been hi
 ghly positive, and the tool is expected to reduce hundreds of hours of man
 ual document search. This project highlights how human factors methods can
  improve regulatory workflows and lays the groundwork for future expansion
 s using AI and data science to further support nuclear safety and efficien
 cy.\n\n
