 ductivity isn’t just about how hard people work—it’s about how well the wo
 rk system supports them. This presentation explores how various internal a
 nd external factors influence productivity in the workplace, drawing on a 
 study conducted in Iran’s educational sector. Using the Healthcare Profess
 ional Performance (HCP) model as a framework, we examine how task design, 
 leadership, workplace policies, economic instability, and even national-le
 vel issues like inflation and corruption impact employee performance and w
 ell-being. The findings reveal that while individual effort and organizati
 onal design matter, broader economic and administrative conditions have th
 e strongest effect on productivity. This research provides fresh insight i
 nto how work system design—both inside and outside an organization—can sup
 port or hinder performance. Attendees will gain practical strategies for i
 dentifying barriers to productivity and implementing more resilient, peopl
 e-centered systems. The session is especially relevant for those working i
 n ergonomics, organizational design, human factors, or policy, offering a 
 more holistic understanding of workforce challenges in complex environment
