 igue mitigation strategies. Following PRISMA guidelines, the review includ
 es 38 peer-reviewed studies retrieved from three major academic databases.
  Fatigue countermeasures are grouped into four categories: vehicle-based, 
 driver-related, combined vehicle-driver, and road-related. These intervent
 ions are also classified by temporal engagement as either continuous or pe
 riodic. The review assesses the mechanisms and effectiveness duration of e
 ach strategy and outlines the subjective and objective methods used to eva
 luate fatigue. The findings emphasize the need for proactive approaches th
