Dr. Daniel Nguyen, Associate Scientist, Aptima, Inc., applies his experience in both academic and government settings within Aptima’s Performance Augmentation Systems Division. Although his training is primarily in industrial-organizational psychology, his experience largely centers on human-AI teaming (HAT) and bidirectionally incorporating science and practice in his work. Specifically, his expertise focuses on generating generalized and specialized HAT frameworks, measuring and evaluating HATs, and developing tools for contextualizing HAT data. Dr. Nguyen has disseminated his work in these areas to notable multidisciplinary conference presentations and publication outlets, such as the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference and Organizational Psychology Review. Dr. Nguyen has a PhD and MA in industrial-organizational psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology and a BA in psychology from Texas A&M University.
