Maurita T. Harris, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Liberal Arts at the Wilfrid Laurier University. Her primary appointment is in User Experience Design. She has an appointment in Social Justice & Community Engagement. As the director of the Well-Tech Research & Design Laboratory, she focuses on designing tools and systems that promote health, well-being, and equity, particularly addressing challenges related to race, health disparities, and access to resources. Dr. Harris leads a multidisciplinary team that collaborates across healthcare, design, engineering, and social justice fields. Together, they aim to make technology more accessible and impactful for people and their communities.
