Armina Mim is a Ph.D. student and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing & Systems Engineering at Texas Tech University, where her research focuses on assessing usability issues in telemonitoring and remote patient monitoring to develop user-centric solutions that enhance adoption and improve patient experiences. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and dual master’s degrees in Operations Management and Systems & Engineering Management. With this strong interdisciplinary background, she is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Beyond her academic work, she actively contributes to the HFES community, serving as the Treasurer for the HFES Student Chapter at Texas Tech, an active member of HFES Volunteer Central, and Communications Chair for the HFES Usability and System Evaluation Technical Group (USETG). Driven by a commitment to human-centered innovation, she aims to bridge the gap between engineering design and real-world clinical needs to create more inclusive, effective healthcare technologies.
