Biography
As a PhD student in Information Studies and a graduate with a Bachelor's in Game Design and a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Ciara Fabian has dedicated her research to studying how people interact with emerging new technologies. As a Research Assistant and former Multimedia Specialist, she works with a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, to investigate the psychological and physiological effects of UX design components, mental health, relationships, and team dynamics. Her range of interests comes from her interdisciplinary background in Game development, simulation design, and human-computer interaction. Through her multidisciplinary work and interests, which combine psychology, technology, user-centered design, and game design, she is committed to understanding how technology works and how it can be used to create better user experiences.
