Biography
Shruthi Venkatesha Murthy is a first-year Ph.D. student in Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, specializing in human-centered design for advanced mobility systems. Her research interests include Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design for electric vehicle transitions, Human-Autonomy Teaming (HAT), and the use of extended reality (XR) in automotive applications. She is a member of the Human System Integration (HSI) Lab, led by Dr. Sang-Hwan Kim, which focuses on improving human-system interaction through human factors principles and data science—particularly in the context of HAT and connected, automated vehicle technologies.
