Biography
Dr. Harman is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Human Factors at Michigan Technological University. His research uses computational models and experimental studies to study how the human mind makes decisions and how understanding memory, attention, and learning can help us make better decisions. His work also extends to areas of Computer Science, gamification, and assessment. Dr. Harman received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Ohio University and spent three years as a post-doctoral fellow in Decision Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining Michigan Tech, he held faculty positions at Louisianan State University and the US Naval Research Laboratory.
