Ann Dietrich
Biography
Dr. Dietrich is a Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Prisma Health. After completing her residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Dr. Dietrich committed herself to education and excellence for all levels of clinical training. She has worked with medical students, residents, fellows and junior attendings to elevate each learner to the best he/she can be. She worked in medical education at The Ohio State University for over 25 years and the American College of Emergency Physicians, at the state and national level, for over 20 years. She has worked extensively with curriculum development to assure successful completion of shelf, inservice, certification and recertification exams. Dietrich has created Emergency Medicine curriculum for Board Review and other educational projects to enhance emergency care for pediatric patients. She has been actively involved in the committee as a member (over 20 years) and chair the last two years of the ACEP PEM National comm, advocating and working to publish resources and guidelines to assist her colleagues with this tremendous crisis. In her roles as Chair and Medical Director of Education at Ohio ACEP she has worked to enhance collaboration across specialties. She is a co-Principal Investigator on the RIPCHD.PED patient safety learning lab.
