Swati Goel is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design at Georgia Southern University. Swati's academic journey began with a doctoral degree in Planning, Design, and the Built Environment from Clemson University in August 2024. She also holds a master’s in architectural design and research from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's in architecture from India. Swati, a licensed architect in India, spent 5 years in practice before transitioning into research. Her interdisciplinary research within the field of built environment and human factors within healthcare settings, particularly in pediatric settings, is complemented by her strong advocacy for mental health in the workplace. At Georgia Southern, she teaches Design Studio 1 and Human-Centered Design.
