Francisco Lasta
Biography
Francisco is an occupational therapist with over a decade of experience working with
individuals across the lifespan and a range of functional abilities. His background spans
clinical practice, human-centered design, task analysis, and accessibility. As the Inclusive
Design Lead at an architecture firm, he leads the development of Inclusive Design
Guidelines that integrate occupational therapy principles into architectural projects, with a
focus on public spaces.

Francisco advocates for the expanded role of occupational therapy in shaping
environments that support participation, well-being, and equity. He actively collaborates
with academic institutions, contributes to inclusive design research, and engages in
interdisciplinary partnerships to advance environments that promote occupational
engagement at both individual and systems levels.
