Susannah Paletz
Biography
Susannah Paletz is an Associate Professor at the College of Information at the University of Maryland (UMD). Her research involves intersections of teams, culture, creativity, and technology. She received her PhD and MA in social/personality (University of California, Berkeley). She has held positions as a civil servant Research Psychologist in the Human Systems Integration Division at NASA Ames Research Center, a postdoc and then research associate at the University of Pittsburgh Learning Research and Development Center, and a research scientist at the Center for Advanced Study of Language at the University of Maryland. Paletz is the founding director of the Organizational Teams and Technology Research Society (ottrs.info.umd.edu), a DC-regional research interest group. Her work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Minerva Research Initiative, and Army Research Office, among others. She is on the editorial board of Small Group Research, and has published in Science Advances, Human Factors, Behavior Research Methods, Cognition, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and other outlets.
