Jesse Flint

Biography
Jesse Flint is a Senior Research Associate III at Design Interactive and has over 15 years of experience in cognitive psychology research and design. His work focuses on human performance optimization and post transition performance assessment for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as well as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) components such as the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Jesse has designed and evaluated adaptive training platforms that target visual search tasks such as X-ray interpretation, impostor detection, ID validation, and tracking skills. He also has acted as principle investigator for a series of research studies evaluating the specific training impacts of these platforms. He has conducted user needs analysis research including cognitive task analysis, focus groups and individual interviews. He also has experience with performance metric validation and designing personnel selection frameworks. He has a background in Cognitive psychology with a focus on visual search, eye tracking, signal detection theory, and auditory sensation and perception.
