Biography
Nishat Binte Alam is a Graduate Student of the Industrial and Management Systems Engineering (IMSE) department at WVU, and she is a proud member of the HCIS lab. Her research focuses on using mixed reality, and wearable sensors to develop a training program using expert masons’ movement patterns focusing on changes in apprentices safety behavior and efficiency in industrial settings. One of my research projects focuses on the intriguing domain of smart manufacturing, especially integrating digital twin and mixed reality to prepare workforce with essential skills required for upskilling the current workforce. She loves to read, travel, and spend quality time with friends and family.
