Karolina Pater

Biography
Karolina Pater is a junior undergraduate researcher in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her current research explores the integration of machine learning and extended reality (XR) technologies into human factors research, with a focus on decision support and training in safety-critical systems. She has experience with bioinstrumentation and physiological data collection, enabling data-driven analysis of human performance and interaction. Her research interests include cognitive systems engineering, human-AI collaboration, and the design of resilient sociotechnical systems.
