Yisrael Parmet is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Statistics and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics from Tel-Aviv University. He specializes in the area of design of experiments and statistical modeling. During his graduate studies, he served as a research assistant at the statistical laboratory at the Department of Statistics and OR, Tel Aviv University which granted him knowledgeableness in practical data analysis. Prof. Parmet has expanded his research interests to Human Factors Engineering, applying novel statistical and quantitative methods. In recent years, as part of collaborations with colleagues from ARO (Volcani Institute), Prof. Parmet has specialized in signal and image processing. From 2012 to 2021, Prof. Parmet was the head of the Statistics study program at BGU, and from 2022, he has been the Chairman of the Graduate Students Committee, Engineering Faculty.
