Laurel X Chen is a third-year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. She received her Bachelor's and Master's of Bioengineering at Rice University in 2022 and 2023, respectively. She first got interested in medical human factors and ergonomics after taking a course with Dr. Phil Kortum at Rice University. Before medical school, she previously interned in San Jose, Costa Rica, as a Clinical Design Engineer. She is interested in radiology and the intersection of quality improvement and patient safety in medicine.
