Biography
Dr. Sang-Hwan Kim has been an associate professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) department at the University of Michigan-Dearborn since 2009. Since 2018, Dr. Kim has served as the director of the MS in Human-Centered Design Engineering (HCDE) program within the IMSE department at the U-M Dearborn. His research and teaching interests focus on developing effective human-centered systems across diverse domains, including human factors, human-computer/machine/vehicle interaction, UI/UX design and evaluation, measurement of perceived product quality, and human-AI collaboration.
