Presenter

Oliver is a PhD student in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His research interests include the evaluation of care delivery outcomes (e.g., clinician burnout, patient safety) that stem from the use of health information technologies, such as electronic health records, telehealth platforms, and patient portals. His research aims to improve the usability of these systems from a human factors lens. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals in clinical and informatics areas, such as the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, Journal of Medical Internet Research, Journal of General Internal Medicine, and JAMA Network Open. Outside of UW-Madison, he serves as the vice chair for member engagement for the People and Organizational Issues and Evaluation workgroup in the American Medical Informatics Association. He holds a master’s degree in health informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida.
