Biography
Mr. Leyang Wen is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan, where he also earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He specializes in developing AI-driven solutions that integrate computer vision, reinforcement learning, and generative models to support worker safety in labor-intensive industries. His research focuses on vision-based ergonomics risk assessment, generative ergonomics intervention, and human-robot collaboration optimization. Mr. Wen collaborated with VelocityEHS to develop a vision-based ergonomics risk assessment method, which is now deployed across thousands of facilities in the U.S.. He holds two U.S. patents and has authored peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals.
