Kathryn "Kate" Odom recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master's in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Human Systems. She is also an alumnus of the U.S. Air Force Academy where she got her undergraduate degree in Systems Engineering with an emphasis in Human Factors. She is currently working as a Space Operator in the U.S. Space Force and has a passion for all things human factors engineering, because she likes making systems better for people. She feels that the users are the most important but also most variable part of a system and centering system design around a user is the key to truly optimizing a system. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, photography, reading, and working out. In the future, she hopes to continue this work and continue to make systems more intuitive, user-friendly, and safe for their users.
