Biography
Nabeeha Akhtar is a third-year undergraduate student at the Department of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Her work lies at the intersection of accessibility, healthcare, and human-centered design. She is currently researching tactile graphic symbols for indoor navigation, aiming to improve wayfinding for people with visual impairments. In parallel, she is also redesigning laparoscopic surgical tools to reduce strain on surgeons. Nabeeha’s process is rooted in deep user research, iterative prototyping, and a commitment to solving real-world problems through inclusive, empathetic design.
