Sarah Fouquet
Biography
Sarah Fouquet, PhD is the Director of Quality, Safety, and Human Factors at Children's Mercy Kansas City and and an associate professor at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Sarah received her PhD from Wichita State University in 2016 with a focus on qualitative research methods and ethnography in the healthcare setting.
While Sarah wishes she could be more closely involved with hands-on Human Factors work, her leadership role has pivoted to advocating for early use of human factors in building/space design, identification and prioritization of opportunities for Human Factors utilizing risk matrices. She has been involved in the construction and simulation of new ICU rooms and Behavioral Health spaces in the emergency department.
