Nichole Lighthall

Biography
Dr. Lighthall’s research seeks to develop models of decision processing in human aging that can be used to identify age-related vulnerabilities and pathways to compensation. She conducts research across the basic-to-applied spectrum, with applied studies focusing on human-technology interactions in aging, including how older adults perceive AI generated social stimuli and how the proliferation of AI may yield both benefits and harms to older adults. She directs the Adult Development & Decision Lab at UCF. Her work is funded by NIA-NIH, FL Dept of Health, and DOD.
