Ziming Liu (Bruce) is a third-year Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. His research explores how Virtual Reality (VR) can be applied to solve practical challenges in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, with a particular focus on technician training in EV repair and emergency response. By developing immersive, hands-on training solutions, Bruce aims to improve workforce readiness and safety in the rapidly growing EV industry. His work bridges advanced technology with practical engineering education to address real-world challenges in transportation and infrastructure.
