Biography
Hyun-Gee "Abigail" Jei is a PhD candidate in the Wm Michael Barnes ’64 Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University. Her research is centered on human factors engineering, with an emphasis on designing real-time adaptive decision support systems for workers in high-risk, complex environments such as the oil & gas, healthcare, and military sectors. Abigail earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M. After graduating, she served for five years as a foreign area officer in the South Korean Navy, gaining valuable leadership and operational expertise. Leveraging her military background, Abigail is committed to advancing workplace safety through cutting-edge decision-support systems, with the aim of enhancing human performance and resilience in critical operations.
