Geoffrey Whitehurst received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics from London University, London, UK, in 1974, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, USA, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the College of Aviation, Western Michigan University. He is also currently a researcher for the FAA PEGASAS Center of Excellence, working with the FAA to improve weather-related training practices. His research interests include the use of experiential education in flight training. He has presented internationally at the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Australian Aviation Psychology Association in Sydney, Australia, and at several national conferences. His recent publications include articles in Aviation Psychology and Applied Human Factors and the Journal of Aviation Technology.
