Beth Shelton
Biography
Ms. Shelton is entering her 12th year as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist. She has served over 300 families in the Greater Memphis, TN area during her career. Having served many families on their journeys of grief following a pregnancy or infant loss, Ms. Shelton brings to this panel a professional expertise on the lived experience of Perinatal Bereavement. Her practice has welcomed families from multiple hospital systems in Memphis as well as rural hospitals in West Tennessee. Beth is currently in the second year of the doctoral program at the University of Illinois School of Social Work. Her research focuses on the relationship of nursing care in a structured hospital based Perinatal Bereavement program and mental health outcomes for both nurses and patients.
