Biography
Educated at the National Institute of Design with a Masters in Industrial Design with specialization in Product Design in the year 1994. Presently, a Professor of Practice in the Department of Design, IIT Delhi since 2021. Co-founded a Design Consultancy – inCubis Consultants - which grew into a 50+ team of designers, architects and visual artists over 22 years.
Been part of numerous pioneering projects in India, both in product and retail, a few which are enumerated. The design of Lightweight Seats and Berths for Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches, in 1995-96; design of India’s first range of soft luggage with wheels, named “Strolley”; world’s first infant resuscitator that does not need power, for GE Healthcare; India's first coffee chain – Barista, in 1999; design of 'Energy Stations' for Numaligarh Refineries Limited in 2004; design of India's first pharmacy chain - Apollo Pharmacy, which has 6,000+ outlets since 2008; amongst others.
