Biography
Aarushi Bajaj is a graduate student at San José State University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Factors/Ergonomics with a concentration in User Experience (UX). She currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant, where her work centers on neuroergonomics and physiological sensing. Her research includes the use of advanced wearable technologies and biosensors—such as eye-tracking and galvanic skin response (GSR) monitors—to assess cognitive states including attention, stress, fatigue, and engagement in challenging team tasks. Aarushi’s broader research interests lie in designing equitable digital experiences for users with disabilities, older adults, and underserved populations, with a strong emphasis on ethical and regulatory considerations in inclusive design. Her most recent work explores the use of AI-driven tools to empower teaching methods for children with ADHD through gamified and personalized learning systems that enhance engagement and improve educational outcomes.
