John Elson is a subject matter expert in thermal comfort and thermophysiological modeling and testing. He is currently part of the climate control team at Ford Motor Company. Dr. Elson leads research and development on topics in thermophysiology and thermal comfort modeling, physical testing, and is involved in other aspects of thermal system design, testing, and modeling. His projects have included explorations into the perception of thermal comfort, indoor environmental quality, vehicle interiors, sensors, soldier heat stress, and developing wellbeing experiences. Dr. Elson received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering while part of the Institute for Environmental Research at Kansas State University.
