Inki Kim

Biography
Inki Kim is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering (ISE) at the Grainger College of Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He is also an affiliated faculty member at the Carle-Illinois College of Medicine (CI MED) and an adjunct faculty member at the Health Care Engineering Systems Center (HCESC), a multidisciplinary research center at UIUC. His work focuses on human-in-the-loop (HITL) simulations to advance the scientific understanding of human perception and action in healthcare work systems. He has authored over 45 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the areas of Neuroergonomics, Human-Machine Interaction, and Modeling & Simulation. His work has earned several best paper awards from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES). He has expanded his academic work into technology commercialization, serving as Chief Operating Officer at Medulate Inc. and the Vice President of Ambient Insights Inc.
