Xin Ye is a Ph.D. student in Information at the University of Michigan. Her research interests include human–robot interaction, user experience design, and human behavior modeling. Her work explores how humans interact and collaborate with security robots, with a focus on understanding the robots' social power. Ultimately, her goal is to design future security robots that better serve the public. Xin’s work has been published in premier conferences and journals, including ACM Transactions on Human-Robot Interaction, the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), the IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN), and the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). Prior to her Ph.D., she earned an M.S. in Information Science from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Psychology from Zhejiang University.
