Biography
Harshini Ravi is currently a first-year medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (Thomas Jefferson University) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University as a student in the 7-year Accelerated Pre-Medical Medical BS/MD program. Before starting medical school, she worked as a research associate for the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, contributing to innovative research focused on identifying barriers and implementing solutions to improve patient safety and workflow dynamics within healthcare systems.
As an aspiring physician, she is interested in pursuing both clinical and systems-level research to better understand the variety of factors influencing safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes. Her previous research experiences include biochemistry research as an undergraduate student, neuroscience research at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, and neuroscience and psychology research at the University of Geneva.
