Alan Ta is a 1st year PhD student in Industrial and Systems Engineering in the ACE-Lab. His research focuses on the mobile monitoring and self-management of mental health conditions via a combined system of wearable sensors and ML technology. His current work explores the use of physiological data to detect and intervene in moments of stress for high-risk individuals such as veterans, college students, or healthcare professionals. By taking a human factors approach to mental health self-management technology, Alan hopes to create a more engaging and sustainably used method of monitoring mental health.
