Pedro Ávila Villarreal is an undergrad student at the University of Monterrey in Mexico. He participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program at the College of Engineering University of Michigan in Summer 2024, with Professor Yili Liu as his instructor and advisor. His SURE project with Yili Liu on the cultural aspects of GenAI received a “People’s Choice Award,” which was awarded to only 4 of the 120+ SURE projects in Summer 2024.
