Alison Trinkoff, ScD, MPH, BSN, is a Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. As a nurse and epidemiologist, she leads research using large datasets, surveys, and mixed-methods human factors approaches. She has served as Principal Investigator on five R01s from NIOSH, NIDA, and AHRQ, and on six research grants from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Her work advances patient safety outcomes, workforce health, and technology in safety-critical healthcare systems.
