Biography
Ryan C.A. Foley is a neuromechanics researcher at Ontario Tech University specialising in muscle fatigue and recovery during repetitive work. His research combines experimental measurement techniques like electromyography, dynamometry, and motion capture with computational modeling to understand fatigue development in isolated and workplace settings. Ryan received his B.Sc. (2012) - Kinesiology , M.Sc. (2015) - Neurophysiology, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Neuromechanics and Ergonomics. Ryan aims to use fundamental neuroscience to inform practical applications. Beyond his academic work, he serves as a Kinesiology Laboratory Technician at Ontario Tech and consults on research instrumentation solutions through Afferent Research.
