Viviana Dos Santos is a Ph.D. candidate in Industrial Engineering at Texas Tech University, specializing in Human Factors, Safety, and Resilience engineering. With a multidisciplinary background that spans engineering, research, and consulting, she has developed advanced expertise in assessing situation awareness, performance, and workload, particularly in high-risk environments like firefighting. Her work has been recognized with prestigious awards from the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), and she has published in leading journals, including Applied Ergonomics. Viviana combines technical expertise with leadership experience, having mentored students, led research initiatives, and served in various roles, all while upholding a strong commitment to innovation and human-centered design.
