Biography
Dr. Kelly Sprehn is a Principal Human Systems Engineer at Draper, specializing in Human Systems modeling. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering, focusing on Human Factors and Ergonomics through modeling non-linear decision-making behaviors. Working in industrial and government spaces, she fervently supports the idea of investigating the system to understand user behavior. In other words: “don’t blame the user!” Dr. Sprehn leverages her education in Industrial Engineering to analyze complex systems with humans-in- and on-the-loop, considering not only the experience of the end users, but also that of system designers. She has been working in the DoD space for over 10 years and brings her expertise to help stakeholders make the best design decisions throughout the system lifecycle.
