Annie Xiong
Biography
Annie is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Honours Health Sciences at McMaster University. Her research interests include health policy, global health, and mental health.
Annie is a Global Skills Opportunity (GSO) Awardee under the McMaster Health Forum. She traveled to South Africa as part of this award to work with the Pan-African Collective for Evidence (PACE). Through this experience, she learned more about evidence synthesis in the context of South African health systems, engaged with local stakeholders, and broadened her understanding of South African culture.
Currently, Annie is working with Drs. Jessica Hopkins and Diana Sun at Public Health Ontario on a systematic review concerning burnout rates among physicians.
