Biography
My name is Aariz Naeem, and I am a third-year Honours Life Sciences student at McMaster University, aspiring to attend medical school. I am passionate about research and have gained experience in several areas, including studying iron-deficient anemia post-bariatric surgery, conducting a systematic review on onion pattern facial sensory loss, and evaluating the validity of the VRAG-R tool for assessing recidivism risk. Currently, I am conducting a scoping review on digital health interventions that address mental health issues in heart failure patients and their caregivers. This research explores intervention characteristics such as modality, user satisfaction, and psychological quality of life improvements. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing tennis, staying active at the gym, and spending time with friends.
