Biography
Gabrial Anderson is a Research Associate in the Division of Vehicle, Driver, and System Safety at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute where he conducts human factors research in the context of transportation. His work has spanned multiple fields, including driver distraction, cybersecurity, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and novel vehicle designs. Mr. Anderson has studied driver distraction related to L2 driving automated systems, variation in HMI designs, and duration of secondary tasks while driving. Mr. Anderson has an M.A. in experimental psychology and an M.E. in industrial/systems engineering (human factors).
