Yunmei Liu

Biography
Dr. Yunmei Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Louisville, where she directs the Modeling Interaction, cogNition, and Decision-making by AI (MIND x AI) Lab. She also holds affiliate appointments with the Louisville Automation & Robotics Research Institute and the Center for Human Systems Engineering.
Dr. Liu’s research focuses on intelligent human-automation interaction, cognitive workload modeling, and human-centric AI. Her work has been published in leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, Applied Ergonomics, and the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies. She serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, regularly reviews for top-tier journals and conferences in human factors and human-computer interaction, and frequently participates on National Science Foundation review panels.
